Le Flocon restaurant is a special construction of Fuste (Canadian type of log chalet) which allows for a low carbon emission. LARGEAU enterprise built the chalet in Douglas pine from Correze with walls made only of round logs and insulated with hemp with a single tool being the chainsaw and hand tools.
For the terrace and other areas, local mélèze was used.
The heating system uses no fossil fuel. Only two fireplaces and wood burning stove are used which allows us to burn all cartons, papers and papertowels.

At the Flocon we sort out all our refuse in order to develop our own heat.
